Charged Higgs Online workshop

Description

The CERN's Large Hadron Collider will soon provide a few inverse attobarns of 14 TeV proton-proton collision data to the ATLAS and CMS experiments. Signs of new physics, beyond the Standard Model, will be searched for, especially in the (charged) Higgs sector.

We are organizing a virtual two-day workshop on the theme “Status of Charged Higgs Searches at the LHC and Physics Prospects for the Charged Higgs at HL-LHC”, 30-31 August 2021. Present results on charged Higgs boson searches at the LHC will be presented at the workshop. Moreover, new theoretical and phenomenological ideas concerning Beyond-the-Standard-Model (BSM) searches in the charged Higgs sector will be discussed.

The plan is to bring together experimentalists and theorists to review the present status of charged Higgs searches at the LHC and assess new theoretical developments and ideas at the LHC and beyond. We will review analysis methods, theory/phenomenology developments, generator-level simulations, and strategies for future experimental data analysis. We are aiming at a lively, instructive and fruitful workshop.

The proceedings and invited papers will be published in the special issue "Symmetry, Collider Phenomenology and High Energy Physics" of Symmetry, an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal of MDPI.
