信州大学ではMoodleを全学展開しているが,総合大学であり学部毎に運用方法が異なることから,学部毎のサイトを用意している.また,学務情報システムと連携して,毎年度,新しいコースを作成している.このため,毎年度,学部の数だけの新しいサイトを作成し,サイト毎にその年度に開講するコースの作成を行っている.また,年度をまたいで運用するコースを管理するサイトもある.
さらに,LTSバージョンを使用するポリシーで運用していることから,4月の段階でのLTSバージョンをインストールする必要がある.前述のように,年度毎にサイトを作成することから,新規に作成する場合には問題ないが,年度をまたいで運用するサイトについてはバージョンを行う必要がある.
