Description

The recent data of both T2K and NOνA indicate the atmospheric neutrino mixing angle θ23 to be near the maximal angle 45◦. The closer the observed θ23 is to the maximal mixing, the more likely some flavor symmetry behind it. In order to confirm the flavor symmetry, it is advantageous to consider the minimum number of parameters needed for reproducing the neutrino mixing angles and CP violating phases completely. We dicuss the flavor model with A4 symmetry in the minimal scheme of flavons focusing on the CP violation. We also discuss the A4 symmetry as the modular group.
