The storage ring proton electric dipole moment method at 10^{-29} e-cm level using a hybrid-symmetric lattice

Description

The high-precision beam and spin dynamics tools developed to check the systematic errors for the needs of the muon g-2 experiment are also able to guide us in the design of the storage ring proton EDM experiment. It turns out that invoking certain symmetries in the lattice design, the traditional systematic errors are reduced by several orders of magnitude. The new lattice design requires no new technology to achieve 10^{-29} e-cm level, while by applying stochastic cooling, could improve the sensitivity by an additional order of magnitude.
