Description
We present a conservative statistical treatment to propagate uncertainties in atmospheric lepton flux production to inference in neutrino astronomy. Systematic disagreements between hadronic interaction models are explored and their implications for the production of the ‘prompt’ components of atmospheric neutrinos and muons propagated to fitting for the astrophysical fluxes of neutrinos through a transparent and robust Bayesian framework.
