Description
Doubly-charged Higgs bosons within the mass range 84–200 GeV decaying into a pair of W-bosons have been overlooked by the LHC searches. Such Higgses, when produced in a highly Lorentz-boosted regime, tend to manifest themselves as a single doubly-charged fat jet. We perform a multivariate analysis with the jet substructure variables as inputs to the boosted decision tree classifier to discern such jets from the SM jets. Considering their Drell-Yan pair production, we present a novel search strategy for them in the final state with two same-sign leptons and a doubly-charged fat jet. We find that discovery with 5σ significance is achievable with the already collected Run 2 LHC data.
