Description

The Standard Model provides the best description of the known fundamental particles and their interactions to date. However, findings regarding excesses of taus show a tension between Standard Model predictions and observed data. This tension can be understood in the context of a 2HDM. In this talk, I will show the recent results of the model-independent search for charged Higgs bosons via $H^{\pm}\rightarrow \tau\nu$ in ATLAS using the full run2 dataset.
