Description

We investigate the decay of MeV-scale sterile Dirac neutrinos into e+e- pairs, which is a signature that can be exploited by current solar neutrino experiments (e.g. Borexino) and future dark matter experiments (e.g. ISODAR@Yemilab) to set limits in mass-mixing parameter space. We present a closed-formed decay width correctly accounting for the neutral/charged current interference. We rederive Borexino bounds and derive ISODAR@Yemilab bounds based on this result. Our bound on Borexino is slightly more optimistic than the bound from the collaboration, likely resulting from our revised decay width. Our ISODAR@Yemilab shows improved sensitivities to the new particle compared to the past experiments.
