The rare decays $K\to \pi \nu \overline{\nu }$ are crucial for exploring physics beyond the Standard Model. Our investigation focuses on these decays in the context of scalar leptoquarks, exploring both lepton flavor conserving and violating channels. Furthermore, we explore the potential to detect lepton number violating operators in $K\to \pi \nu \overline{\nu }$ decays.
