Description

Light-by-Light (LbL) scattering is a rare and fascinating
phenomenon that probes the quantum nature of light. The Large Hadron
Collider has recently achieved the first experimental observation of this
process, sparking a renewed interest in its theoretical understanding. In
this talk, I will present the state-of-the-art prediction of the LbL
scattering cross section at the Next-to-Leading Order (NLO) in both QCD and
QED. I will explain how to use a fully analytic method to compute two-loop
helicity amplitudes that are compact and well-organized. I will also show
the impact of including the exact fermion mass contribution for the NLO
corrections.
