Description
The observed deviations from the Standard Model in semileptonic decays of B mesons are the most compelling hints for physics beyond the Standard Model at the TeV scale and challenge many of our preconceived ideas on model building. In this talk I will present the main aspects of some explanations of these anomalies, including correlations with other flavour observables and consequences for high-pT searches at the LHC. I will then discuss some recent attempts to embed such explanations in more UV-complete setups.
