We will consider the effective field theory of the Standard Model extended with right-handed neutrinos, N. Such an EFT, known as nuSMEFT or NSMEFT, is the relevant theory if massive neutrinos are Dirac particles, or N are light Majorana neutrinos. After providing a basis of dimension-six operators, we will discuss their renormalisation and matching onto the low-energy EFT relevant for energies below the electroweak scale. Further, we will present the constraints on the considered operators derived from LHC searches as well as low-energy measurements. Finally, for the interactions not yet probed by current experiments, we will discuss potential novel signatures.
