Venue
The DMNet symposium will be held at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik (MPIK). The institute is located on the south-western part of the Königstuhl hillside in Heidelberg, Germany. General information about how to reach Heidelberg and the venue can be found below.
Presentations
All speakers are asked to upload their talks to Indico (preferred) or to mail them to wsorg@mpi-hd.mpg.de at least one hour before the presentation. It will *NOT* be possible to use personal computers for your presentation.
Covid Rules
In Germany in general: Most protective measures are in general no longer in place, but it is obligatory to wear masks in planes, trains, all public transport and hospitals or similar.
Covid rules at MPIK: All participants are encouraged to do a daily selftest before coming to MPIK. In addition we will ask to wear masks in the lecture halls whenever distancing cannot be sufficiently maintained. Free selftests and masks will be provided as required.
Shuttle Bus
Change of time for the shuttle bus on Thursday: new departure time 17:30
During the conference, a shuttle bus service will be provided for participants commuting between the city center and the MPIK campus. The bus will leave in front of Hotel Tannhäuser, Bergheimer Str. 6, 69115 Heidelberg (close to Bismarckplatz). Please be on time since the bus can't wait very long there. The departure times are 9:40 and 11:40 on Tuesday and 8:30 on Wednesday and Thursdays.
The bus from the conference site will also stop again at Hotel Tannhäuser and leave MPIK at 18:00 on Tuesday and Thursday. On Wednesday it will leave at 13:50 and bring participants straight to the excursion to Neckarmünzplatz.

Alternative ways to get to MPIK:
Public transport
- Bus 39 direction Königstuhl - stop „MPI Kernphysik“
Buses leave from Heidelberg main station (Steig L - Note: You don't have to panic if you see the bus across the street on Steig P as it stops there on the way back).
Bus No. 39 (direction Königstuhl) leaves on every full hour (:02) and brings you directly to our institute in 13 min.
Bus No. 39A (direction EMBL/Mombertplatz) leaves irregularly (but mainly :25), you'll need to exit at Bierhelderhof/ Ehrenfriedhof and walk uphill (200m) to the institute.
From MPI Kernphysik (39) the buses go directly from Alois-Link-Platz to the main station, from Bierhelderhof (39A) almost all buses will go via Bismarckplatz.

Heidelberg offers many options for accommodation and delegates are invited to book their accommodation individually. Due to the tourism high season, we recommend that you book accommodation well in advance.
