Welcome to the web page for the workshop "From hadrons to Stars and the Cosmos", organized by researchers in the particle physics department at IGFAE as a tribute to Prof. Ricardo Vázquez López, who prematurely passed away at the end of 2022.

This workshop is intended to cover a wide variety of topics in physics in which Ricardo worked along his career. Everybody who had a personal or professional relationship with Ricardo is welcome to present their work and experiences.

The workshop will take place in person on June 1st and 2nd 2023 at the Aula Magna of the Facultade de Física (see map) at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela.

The scientific talks will be organized into the three main topics in which Ricardo developed his research activity:

• Astroparticles and Cosmic Rays
• QCD and Quantum Field Theory
• Solitons and Astrophysical Compact Objects
