DESCRIPTION:Speakers: James Cline (McGill University\, (CA))\n\nThe 19th I
nternational Workshop on the Dark Side of the Universe (DSU2025) will be h
eld from July 7 - 12 2025 at the  new science campus of the Université d
e Montreal and is co-organized by McGill University and the Université de
Montreal.\nDSU is a series of international workshops bringing together a
wide range of theorists and experimentalists to discuss current ideas on
models of the dark side and relate them to current and future experiments.
Webpages for previous workshops in the series are linked at https://cse.
 umn.edu/ftpi/DSU.\n \nSpecific topics for the 2025 edition will include:\
n- BSM models of dark matter (DM)- Axions and ultralight DM- DM formation-
Astrophysical signatures of DM- New DM detection techniques\n- New ideas
and observations on dark energy\n- Dark energy (DE) and dark matter from s
tring theory- Neutrino cosmology and its interplay with DM and DE- Gravita
tional wave signatures of DM- Dark ages cosmology\n \nYou are encouraged
to reserve lodging well in advance of the conference.  A list of suggeste
d hotels is given below\, but it is not exhaustive.  Please do not respon
d to solicitations for lodging pretending to be connected to the conferenc
e\, since this is a frequently occuring scam with indico events.\nInformat
ion about arrival and public transportation is also given in the link belo
w.\n \nRegistration is open.  The registration fee can be paid through t
he link\nprovided in the payment section\, or here:\nhttps://catalogue.pra
xis.umontreal.ca\nPlease note that this is not linked to indico\, so your
registration will continue to be marked as awaiting payment\, but you can
ignore that.  The registration fee must be paid by June 22.\n \nPlease a
lso indicate your meal preferences here.\n \nAbstracts for invited plenar

revious DSU conferences that they may have attended.\n \nWe have modest f
unding from APCTP to support expenses for participants from Asian member c
ountries.  You can indicate on the registration form if you wish to be co
nsidered for financial aid.  We acknowledge generous financial support fr
om the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics\n(CITA) \, the Tro
ttier Space Institute at McGill (TSI)\, and the Institute for Particle Phy
sics (IPP).\n \nArrival information.  Here is a map of the MIL campus.
The Acadie and Outrement metro stations are shown\, and the two nearest B
ixi stations for those who would like to rent a bike.  The Complexe des s
ciences is at 1375\, ave Thérèse-Lavoie-Roux.\n\nEnter wing A.  The reg
istration desk is directly in front of you\, at the end of the hallway.
You can find your name tag here.  Go up to the 5th floor\, where you will
find room A5502 for the welcome session at 9am on Monday.  This will als
o be the location of the plenary talks and the reception on Monday evening
. Here is a map showing the rooms we will be using:\n\n \nFor internet ac
cess\, eduroam is recommended.  There is also University of Montreal gues
t wifi.   If you plan to bike\, it is technically required (though unlik
ely to be enforced) and highly recommended to wear a helmet.  You are enc
ouraged to bring one with you in that case.  A biking trajectory is one o
f the optional activities that will be suggested for Wednesday afternoon.\
n \nThe weather forecast is here.  There is a heat warning for Sunday\,
July 6\; please take precautions.  Moderate weather is forecast for the r
est of the week.\n \nUploading your talk.  We strongly recommend that yo
u present your talk via a pdf file\, since powerpoint could be problematic
in some of the venues.  Please upload your file to indico no later than
1 hour before your session\, so that the files can be copied to the local
computer.  Go to the contribution list in indico (not "my contributions")
\, find your contribution there\, and add your file to the presentation ma
terials at the bottom.  Contributed talks are 20 minutes\, plenary talks
 are 30 minutes\, including time for questions. \n \nTiming of talks.  W
e will provide the convenors with signs labeled 10\, 5\, 0\, -5 to help yo
u keep time.  Zero stands for time allotted minus 5 minutes for questions
.  Hence -5 means you will not have time for questions.\n \nMedical exig
encies.  You can go to the emergency room at any of the nearby hospitals
if necessary.  Jewish General\, Montreal General\, Royal Victoria\, Saint
Mary's all provide bilingual service.  For less urgent problems\, privat
