Through the telling of historical facts and stories, you'll learn
about how particle accelerators work and some of the ways accelerators
are used for fundamental research. In this talk, I'll also introduce some
of the well-known particle accelerators used for discovery research

The degree of matter-antimatter asymmetry in the universe is currently unexplained by the Standard Model. While the required forms of symmetry breaking are present in the standard model, in particular CP symmetry breaking, the observed systems are not enough to explain the current asymmetry.
