Description

The future quantum internet will revolutionize how we communicate, compute and sense the world by enabling fundamentally new capabilities rooted in quantum superposition and entanglement. In this talk, I will introduce the real-world applications of this power network including unbreakable security, distributed quantum computing and advanced sensing. I will highlight the key global efforts toward building a quantum internet which include national initiatives in the U.S., EU, China and Canada and the industry-involved breakthroughs towards quantum satellite links. Finally, I will talk about the challenges and solutions tied to this network to achieve long distance quantum key and entanglement distribution.
