Description
SuperCDMS (Super Cryogenic Dark Matter Search) is an experiment for the direct detection of dark matter with great sensitivity to Compton scattering at low energies where electron binding and crystal structure affect Compton scattering spectra. We can take advantage of the SuperCDMS detector sensitivity to these low energies to look for plasmon production from Thomson scattering in silicon. Using the adiabatic local-density approximation (ALDA) of the dynamic structure factor
