The notion of a quantum reference frame is needed to adequately describe quantum communication without a shared reference frame or the construction of a relational quantum theory. It was recently shown that when transforming quantum systems that have degrees of freedom referenced with respect to an external frame to that of a quantum reference frame, entanglement can be generated between the...
We construct a new class of non-stationary exact solutions to five-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity based on Atiyah-Hitchin space by finding analytical expression for the unknown metric functions. We investigate the behavior of the solutions numerically since these expressions cannot be written in closed forms. We also consider an extremal limit of the Atiyah-Hitchin metric which it...
A complete understanding of classical-quantum correspondence in the chaotic limit is still lacking. We study this correspondence from a quantum information-theoretic perspective in a quantum kicked top model. This is a multiqubit system whose dynamics is governed by successive twists and turns of the collective angular momentum operator. This system is of particular interest because it...
We present all real quantum mechanical potentials in a two-dimensional Euclidean space that have the following properties: 1. They allow separation of variables in polar coordinates, 2. They allow an independent fourth order integral of motion, 3. Their angular component
Motivated by statements in the literature which contradict two general theorems, the static and spherically symmetric Brans solutions of scalar-tensor gravity are analyzed explicitly in both the Jordan and the Einstein conformal frames. Depending on the parameter range, these solutions describe wormholes or naked singularities but not black holes.
