Description

Leptonic and semileptonic decays of charmed hadrons provide unique tests of our theories of electroweak and strong interactions. In the past 5 years, significantly more precise measurements of decay rates of these processes have been made, primarily due to large samples collected at charmed hadron pair production thresholds by the BESIII experiment. I’ll discuss a number of these measurements in more detail, and give an overview of how this recent progress has improved our understanding of fundamental interactions.
