Diversification of Dark Matter searches

Many of us who worry about the nature of dark matter have always taken an agnostic approach to the identity of this mysterious stuff.  As we find ourselves confronted with no evidence from underground dark matter detectors nor from the LHC as to what it could be, we are diversifying our searches.  While direct detection and LHC searches are still our greatest hope, we can ask both what other physics we can probe using these extremely sensitive dark matter detectors but also what we can learn about the dark matter by studying its behaviour in galaxies.
