Charm and beauty quarks provide an incredibly rich laboratory to search for physics beyond the Standard Model. The status of current searches will be presented, with particular emphasis on the results of the LHCb experiment at CERN. Prospects for future developments at the High-Luminosity LHC will also be discussed.
