Charm physics provides a unique window on potential signals of physics
beyond the Standard Model. It also plays a special role in our understanding
of the strong interaction, which never fails to surprise as the recent
discoveries of a new particle zoo of exotic mesons and baryons - most of
which include charm quarks - have shown. This seminar summarises the
latest results in the field of charm physics, including the impact on and from
theory, as well as projections for results to be expected from upcoming
experimental facilities.
