QFT-GW Group Meetings

Shing-Tung Yau Center
The QFT-GW Group Meetings are weekly meetings of our research group working on topics at the interface of Quantum Field Theory (QFT) and Gravitational Waves (GW). They provide a regular forum for sharing research progress, discussing ongoing projects, exploring the literature, and fostering interaction and collaboration among group members.
Each weekly meeting consists of two parts:
Part I — Weekly Research Updates
Each group member briefly summarizes their research activities and progress over the past week. These updates are intended to keep everyone informed about ongoing work and to identify topics that may benefit from further discussion or collaboration. Updates should be kept to no more than 10 minutes per person; detailed technical discussions can be arranged separately.
Part II — Project Presentation or Journal Club
The second part of the meeting alternates between:
-
Project presentations / internal seminars: With several research projects running in parallel within the group, these presentations provide an opportunity to introduce ongoing projects to the entire group. Talks should give a comprehensive and accessible overview of the background, motivation, scientific questions, goals, methodology, current progress, and open problems. They should be designed to be understandable to group members who are not directly involved in the project.
-
Journal club: Sessions devoted to reading and discussing interesting papers, including both recent developments and classic works relevant to the group's research interests.
