Igor Zagorodnov is developing a new electromagnetic code, EMUZAG, which can run in parallel on high-performance computing clusters for large-scale numerical simulations. Because several EIC vacuum components are very long, parallel computing combined with a low numerical dispersion error algorithm enables accurate wakefield calculations for these structures. Current development efforts are focused on the detector chamber, collimators, and the ferrite abort kicker.
