Description
Low-energy neutrino interactions can produce delayed double-pulse signatures through the population of nuclear excited states, potentially providing better means of distinguishing neutrino interactions from radiological backgrounds. Both $^{57}$Co and $^{71}$As exhibit similar signatures by decaying through excited states with half lives on the order of 100 ns. Studying these decays allows us to investigate time-correlated energy depositions in scintillation-based detectors without requiring an intense neutrino source. In this talk, we present ongoing experimental studies of $^{57}$Co and $^{71}$As, focusing on the identification and characterization of delayed double-pulse events. These measurements support the development and validation of detection techniques for low-energy neutrino/anti-neutrino interactions.
