Description
One year after the publication of the European Strategy for Artificial Intelligence in Science
(October 2025), Europe’s research community has a unique opportunity to place high-quality, trustworthy research data at the heart of discussions on AI for science.
The objectives of this session:
The session will discuss how EOSC can help addressing the challenge of improving access to high-quality, trustworthy research data by enabling researchers across Europe to access, store, share, and reuse FAIR data through a federated, compliance-oriented infrastructure that balances openness with data sovereignty. By unlocking large, diverse, and machine-actionable FAIR datasets, EOSC directly supports AI development and helps overcome data scarcity, a key barrier to innovation in AI for science. Conversely, AI technologies can facilitate the automated processing of data provided by EOSC.
