Description
Measurements of jet production in nuclear collisions provide important constraints on parton energy loss and the properties of the quark–gluon plasma. This contribution presents recent ATLAS studies of jet nuclear modification using LHC collision data. Jet yields are compared with suitable proton–proton reference measurement and studied as functions of jet transverse momentum, collision centrality, and rapidity. The measurement extend tests of jet quenching into previously less explored kinematic regions and collision systems, providing new information about the dependence of parton energy loss on the collision geometry and medium size.
