Description

The advancements of software and technology allow inedite perspectives in science. Crossing from one set of methods to another cannot only increase accessibility and traceability of research but also allow further refinement of both sets of methods. We have been originally working with the IDL software in our Star Formation (SF) analysis and we know look into the advantages and the limitations if any of using Python for our analysis. We present a preliminary comparison study of by now traditional (IDL) and new (Python) analysis methods in star formation research in a case study LITTLE THINGS galaxy.
