Description

Abstract: The Exo4Edu Romania initiative is a component of the Exo4Edu Erasmus+ project[1,2], collaborating with three additional countries: France, Portugal, and Albania. The project is leaded by Paris Observatory, France. The project provides easily comprehensible information regarding exoplanets and the search for extraterrestrial life in the Universe, also available in the Romanian language. Simultaneously, there is a focus on enhancing skills in STEAM subjects. The initiative created a toolkit featuring a revised database of exoplanets, along with resources and activities in Romanian, enabling educators to instruct their students more effectively in their own language. Furthermore, to fulfill the primary objective, researchers from the Romanian Academy organized a nationwide training initiative aimed at providing teachers with high-quality, innovative courses[3] and activities[4] to implement in their educational institutions. Consequently, similar to a massive avalanche, by training 21 teachers, we were able to reach and educate a greater number of children in their respective schools.
