Description

BPOP is a C++ population-synthesis code that generates black hole binary (BBH) mergers formed in isolated binaries or via dynamics in young, globular, and nuclear clusters. Users can build a mock Universe of BBH mergers across environments varying star formation history, metallicity, cluster masses, BH masses/spins, and more, and use a dedicated Python package to calculate merger rates and generate mock source catalogues. In this tutorial we will learn how to use BPOP and interpret its results.
