Event-shape observables in e^+e^- collisionsnrequire the resummation of logarithmically enhanced contributions in the two-jet limit. In this talk, I discuss inherent ambiguities and approximations in commonly used resummation frameworks for the thrust shape variable. In particular, I show that different, yet formally legitimate, resummation prescriptions can lead to significant numerical differences, even at high logarithmic accuracy.
