ACME - NITRATES

Europe/Paris
Samuele Ronchini (Gran Sasso Science Institute)
Description

This tutorial is focused on NITRATES, a pipeline for targeted searches on external events (e.g. GRBs, neutrinos, GW triggers) using Swift BAT data. Users will learn how to ingest external alerts, download and use GUANO-triggered BAT data, run targeted likelihood analyses, and interpret detection statistics and sky-position dependent upper limits. The tutorial also highlights key applications and provides an overview of the impact of these methods on published papers
