MAGGPY

Europe/Paris
Samuele Ronchini (Gran Sasso Science Institute)
Description

This tutorial introduces MAGGPY as a framework to connect BNS population models with short GRB observations. Users will learn how to generate synthetic GRB catalogs using different jet geometries and detector sensitivities (e.g. Fermi-GBM), infer jet launching efficiencies, and test the consistency of progenitor models. The tutorial also demonstrates how to interface MAGGPY catalogs with GWFish to make joint detection predictions for current and next-generation gravitational-wave observatories, highlighting applications and impact on multi-messenger studies
