This lecture offers an essential introduction to cluster computing at Goethe-NHR & Fuchs and the SLURM workload manager. Key topics include:

  1. Cluster Basics: Understanding cluster architecture and access methods.

  2. Hardware and Software: Overview of hardware components and software configurations.

  3. SLURM Overview: Introduction to SLURM’s role in job scheduling and resource management.

  4. Practical SLURM Examples

Participants will acquire fundamental knowledge and practical skills in using cluster computing and SLURM effectively.

Location: This course will be held in a hybrid format via zoom and on-site. It takes place on Campus Riedberg of Goethe University Frankfurt in Otto-Stern-Zentrum, room S1.
