Advances in Nuclear Structure Theory by the nuclear theory group of the INPP

The INPP should seize the opportunity of the newly advertised position to invest on nuclear structure studies, because in the near future they are about to give birth to very promising technological advances, such as the nuclear clock and the nuclear batteries. I shall briefly present the current state-of-the-art in the theory of nuclear structure and right after I will outline my contribution in the field. Specifically, proxy-SU(3) symmetry and its parameter-free predictions concerning the nuclear shape will be presented. Finally, the future plans of the aligned theoretical and experimental nuclear groups in the INPP will be discussed.
