The decorrelation of transverse momenta in final states involving jets is an intuitive set of observables that is complicated by the standard calculational tools used to represent jets.
In this talk I will demonstrate that employing the Winner-Takes-All (WTA) axis scheme instead of the standard jet axis allows for theoretically simpler calculations, allowing for easier access to high precision predictions for certain decorrelation observables. In will focus in particular on how the use of the WTA axis enables the use of transverse momentum slicing for final states involving jets, with an especially simple form for planar scattering processes, and will elaborate on some more recent developments towards resummed predictions for the transverse momentum decorrelation.
