Call for Abstracts

  • Opening day
  • Submission deadline

We are soliciting abstracts for talks across four research themes (below). Postdoctoral fellows and graduate students are encouraged to submit abstracts for 20-minute talks (15-minute presentation + 5 min Q&A). Undergraduates are encouraged to submit abstracts for flash-talks (3-minute presentation, no Q&A).

  • Neutrinos (0νββ, oscillation, properties, geoneutrinos, detectors)
  • Dark Matter (candidates, detectors)*
  • Multi-Messenger Astronomy and
Astrophysics (neutrino telescope, cosmic rays, supernova
    surveillance)
  • Astroparticle Physics Theory and Computational Science
(SM, BSM, and astroparticle-relevant artificial intelligence and
    quantum computing applications)

The intellectual scope of this year’s annual meeting will be determined by the Canadian Community’s HQP. For this reason, we are asking applicants to take an additional step beyond narrow-focus presentation junior researchers might typically deliver at larger conferences and workshops. We are asking prospective speakers to not only present their recent work, but to also (briefly) share their own insights about the implications of current and future work for the broader field, or for applications in other technological, industrial, or socio-economic domains. The abstract selection committee will provide feedback on all proposed talks to facilitate a high-quality scientific leadership experience (i.e., speakers leading their community in identifying future opportunities and audiences providing considered and relevant feedback on those propositions). Accepted presentations will also receive (at least) one committee-curated post-presentation question in advance of the meeting.

*Researchers of dark matter may instead consider attending the Light Dark World International Forum, which coincides with this meeting. This event will be held at the Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada from July 28-31st.
