ACME - Build your own alert system

Europe/Paris
Samuele Ronchini (Gran Sasso Science Institute)
Description

This tutorial is dedicated to building your own multi-messenger alert system. Users will learn how to create a custom alert pipeline using GCN notices distributed via the Kafka stream. Through a Python interface, users will implement tailored selection criteria to filter events of interest. The system can handle alerts from multiple observatories, including LVK, Fermi, Swift, SVOM, and Einstein Probe. Final alerts can be configured to post to the user's preferred platform (e.g., Slack, Telegram), including both textual summaries and basic plots.
