Description

Abstract: Entanglement is a key resource in quantum information processing tasks. Over a subsystem in a multi-party quantum system, entanglement can be quantified either by using a partial trace-based approach, or by using a measurement-based approach. In this talk, we focus on the latter, which leads to the definition of localizable entanglement. We point out the challenges in computing localizable entanglement, and discuss its relevance and specific uses in different aspects of quantum information science and technology.
