State-Driven Fragmentation of All-Heavy and Hidden-Heavy Tetraquarks

Description

Heavy-flavor fragmentation lies at the intersection between hadronic structure and precision QCD, providing a powerful framework to investigate the nonperturbative dynamics of hadron formation through inclusive production observables. Its extension to exotic hadrons opens new opportunities to explore the production mechanisms of multiquark states and their possible connection with the underlying microscopic structure. We present recent developments in the fragmentation description of exotic tetraquarks through two complementary frameworks. The TQ4Q2.0 framework provides a systematic NRQCD-based description of all-heavy tetraquark fragmentation, while TQHL2.0 introduces a multimodal approach to hidden-heavy tetraquarks, in which different fragmentation mechanisms are associated with the current structural interpretation of the individual physical states. The combined development of these frameworks naturally motivates a state-driven fragmentation paradigm for exotic tetraquarks. The resulting fragmentation functions are consistently evolved within the threshold-aware Heavy-Flavor NonRelativistic evolution (HF-NRevo) scheme, enabling precision phenomenological studies across different energy scales. These developments establish state-driven fragmentation as a novel interface between hadron spectroscopy, hadronic structure, and precision QCD, while providing the conceptual foundations for future investigations of a broader spectrum of exotic hadrons.
