Description
Previous studies of the kaon-deuteron interaction, based on Faddeev equations using unitarized chiral effective theory at the two-body level, yielded a kaon-deuteron amplitude that was not fully unitary, even within the fixed-center approximation.
In this work, we extend the state-of-the-art amplitudes by including the missing diagrams required to restore full unitarity in both the K+d and K-d interactions.
We compare our result with preliminary experimental data on the energy shift and width of the kaonic deuterium and provide predictions for femtoscopy correlation functions relevant to heavy-ion collisions measured by the ALICE collaboration at the LHC.
