Description
The new gamma spectrometer “Nossa Caixa” consisting of 108 LYSO(Ce) scintillator crystals arranged in 12 sets of 3×3 pixel detectors has been built and tested with gamma calibration sources and in a first gamma-particle coincidence experiment with a 10B beam on 120Sn target at near barrier energies, at the Pelletron TANDEM accelerator laboratory of the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo. The characterization and performance of the spectrometer were accessed and the first measurement results of the test reaction will be presented.
