Prof. Arturo Menchaca-Rocha is an experimental nuclear physicist studying the production of nuclei and antinuclei in the ALICE-CERN Experiment, to understand cosmic ray data being collected by the AMS spectrometer, installed at the International Space Station. In Mexico he introduced the use of atmospheric muons to image the interior of large volumes, such as pyramids, searching for cavities of potential archaeological interest. His work merited important academic recognition, both in Mexico, and abroad.
