The primary objective of the school is to provide students in the area of Quantum Gravity with an up-to-date introduction to the fundamentals of canonical and covariant Loop Quantum Gravity (LQG), quantum black holes, and cosmology, with an emphasis on the numerous novel results achieved within the field over the past years. Students at the end of the school are expected to actively participate in the Loops'26 conference held in Hangzhou.

Jinsong Yang: Quantum Mechanism Angular Momentum & Graphic Calculus

Tian Yu: Canonical & Path Integral Quantization of Field Theory and Renormalization

Yi Ling: Quantum Entanglement/Information

Wu Xiaoning& Pujian Mao: Asymptotic Symmetry

Hongguang Liu: Numeric Workshop

Hanno Sahlmann & Wojciech Kaminski: Functional Analysis & von Neumann/C* Algebra (to be confirmed)

Kristina Giesel: Canonical Quantization

Han Muxin: Spin Foam Quantization

Ivan Agullo: Quantum Field Theory in Curved Spacetimes

Special Topics 

Parampreet Singh: Loop Quantum Cosmology

Baofei Li: Modified Loop Quantum Cosmology

Cong Zhang: Effective Theory, including covariant & different gauge-fixing approaches,

Viqar Husain: Gravitational Collapse and Formation of BHs in LQG (to be confirmed)

 

The registration is open until April 10th,2026. The summer school is free of registration fee and will provide complimentary meals; however, students are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses. There may be financial support for the accommodations of a limited number of PhD students.
