The academic staff at the ISU Department of Basic Sciences conducts research oriented studies in the field of High Energy Particle Physics (HEPP) and also runs the PhD program in Physics. The Phyics PhD program is not limitted to physics graduates only; furthermore, direct addmission to the program after BSc without an MSc is possible for those with a GPA of 3.00 or higher.
The competent academic and technical staff the HEPP Research Group are involved in advanced studies on High Energy Physics, Particle Physics, Particle Detectors and Particle Accelerators. For the full list of members of the ISU HEPP Research Group please click here.
The local laboratory infrastructure to conduct R&D in these fields together with various externally funded projects (TÜBİTAK, TENMAK, TÜSEB) and memberships in world-class international research collaborations offer unique opportunities to students as well. For the list of international collaborations and local projects please click here.
If you are interested to work on a capstone project under the supervision of members of the HEPP group, which could lead to a TÜBİTAK 2209 project, please fill in the application form on the left menu. We will get in contact with you after an initial evaluation of your profile.
