ΘΕΕ02
A mini lecture series by Prof. Michele Gallinaro - Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (LIP), Portugal.
This series of lectures will focus on fundamental physics in the field of High Energy Physics. They will give insights into the basic research program at the LHC and provides direct explanation of the experimental approach. The latest experimental results are presented and discussed with the goal of stimulating the interest of the curious students and provide with detailed answers. The lectures aim at discussing some of the techniques used in Experimental High-Energy Physics for particle detection and their associated performance. This series of lectures will provide the fundamental ingredients for learning the details and the experimental techniques and methods used by researchers worldwide at the LHC. In particular, the discovery of the Higgs boson and details of the experimental challenges will be discussed.
