Description
The equation of state of strongly interacting matter is explored by
earthbound experiments, by studying neutron star properties and most
recently also by
analyzing gravitational waves from neutron star mergers. I will discuss
in the contribution the situation for earthbound experiments, how one
can get information
about the equation of state, what is needed to extract this information
from data and where we are presently with our knowledge.
