I discuss the impact of the positive cosmological constant on the interplay between the equivalence principle in general relativity, and the rules of quantum mechanics. Theme 3: mathematics of NL geometries

I will report on joint work with Girish Vishwa about a construction of nonrelativistic quantum strings from gauged WZW models. This is inspired on the characterisation of Lie groups admitting a bi-invariant galilean structure as quotients of generalised Nappi-Witten groups.
