Saving YB from LNV at low energies with Asymmetric Dark Matter

by Claudia Hagedorn (INFN, Section of Padua)

Australia/Sydney
Description

It is known that lepton number violating (LNV) processes at low energies in combination with sphaleron transitions typically erase any preexisting baryon asymmetry YB. In this talk, I show that the presence of a dark sector with a global symmetry U(1)X, which features Asymmetric Dark Matter (ADM), invalidates this statement. Considering several models with different types of ADM, I find that the mass of the latter is generically of the order of a few GeV or below.
